Privacy Policy
Overview
FuelD is a read-only personal finance application that helps users understand balances, obligations, cash flow, and spending patterns. FuelD uses Plaid so users can connect financial accounts they choose to share with the application.
Information We Collect
- Account profile information such as name and email address returned during authentication flows
- Financial account metadata such as institution name, account type, mask, balances, and connection status
- Transaction history, including merchant names, categories, dates, amounts, and pending or posted status
- Liability information such as mortgage, loan, and credit account details when provided through connected data or manual entry
- Application usage, diagnostics, support, and security logs needed to operate and protect the service
FuelD does not collect or store users' bank login credentials directly.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and maintain account sessions
- Connect user-selected financial accounts through Plaid
- Build dashboards, forecasts, reminders, and grounded financial insights
- Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
- Protect the service, detect abuse, and respond to security incidents
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
Consent
FuelD obtains user consent before launching Plaid Link. By choosing to connect an account, the user directs FuelD and Plaid to collect, process, and store the selected financial data for the purposes described in this policy.
Sharing of Information
FuelD may share information with service providers that help operate the service, including:
- Plaid, for financial connectivity services
- Supabase or other approved cloud infrastructure providers, for authentication, database, and server operations
- Approved analytics, support, security, or AI-processing providers, but only as needed to operate user-requested features
FuelD does not sell personal information or consumer financial data.
Data Retention and Deletion
FuelD retains information only for as long as needed to operate the service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. Users can disconnect linked institutions inside the application. FuelD will delete associated synced application data according to its retention and deletion policy, subject to legal, security, or backup-related retention obligations.
Data Security
FuelD uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal and financial data. These safeguards include authentication controls, encryption in transit, encrypted storage of Plaid access tokens, logical access restrictions, and monitored backend systems.
Children's Privacy
FuelD is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
FuelD may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, FuelD will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
